As most Personal Injury claimants are likely to be long term investors, investing solely in cash is likely to be inappropriate.  Although cash would provide a high degree of security it exposes the award to a significant inflation risk.

We do however understand that the degree of investment risk will be limited due to the fact that the award in most cases represents a one-off opportunity to create financial security and earnings capacity in most cases will have been limited at least to some degree.
